The exhibition will present about ten international young artists of any genre (painting, video, photography, sculpture, performance etc.) to a broader public. As a result of the collaboration between the artists and Kunsthalle, each of them should contribute to the show with a representative range of his work. PRINCIPLES OF CONSTRUCTION will explore the entire mental and geographical territory of Europe and will aim to establish a close dialogue between specific cultural and artistic situations and the broader international context of contemporary art.
The exhibition investigates the return of constructivist principles in international young art. Constructivism has been understood as a global movement, in which nationalities and cultures from all over the world melt into a universal abstract language. The artists represented in the exhibition use constructivist principles in terms of construction and deconstruction or as an experience of the personal and the social. Thus, the reference to reality of constructivism plays an important role in the exhibition.
